The winds of change are blowing through astrology.

It is embarrassing to admit that in the year 2014 we still have major new things to learn.
I think that it is because we have been too quick to theorize in a top down way, from first principles and mythology, instead of arriving at theories in a bottom up way, by researching a lot of charts and seeing what common denominators emerge.

I feel like I should have researched and written these Chiron, Moon’s Node, and Black Moon Lilith interpretations before now, and not let my customers go for the last twenty years without the knowledge that I now have about these chart factors.

I also feel bad that the reports have not included the 45-degree semi-square and 135-degree sesquiquadrate interpretations. These two aspects are both important and their influences are very different from each other. This has led to the following new insight:
The aspects and angles from 0 degrees up to 90 degrees tend to manifest in a grounded, practical, cruder and more physical way.

The aspects and angles from 180 degrees down to 90 degrees tend to manifest in an elevated, mental, finer and more spiritual way.
My web page devoted to the Chiron interpretations points out how Saturn sesquiquadrate (135d) to Chiron is found in the charts of people with a higher religious calling. That is not true of the semi-square (45d). When I asked AstrolDeluxe to show me the famous females with Venus sesquiquadrate (135d) the Black Moon Lilith, it showed me women like Halle Berry, Angelina Jolie, and Anna Kournikova, women who are widely acknowledged to have a heightened type of beauty. Michael Jackson’s daughter Paris has this Venus aspect exact, 0 degrees and 0 minutes. My last e-mail pointed out that in Michael’s natal chart the Sun was sesquiquadrate (135d) the Black Moon with an orb of 0d 04m.

So there is an alternative to regarding the aspects and angles just from the standpoint of whether they are harmonious or discordant. The 45-degree semi-square aspect may actually be more similar to the nearby 60-degree sextile aspect. The 135-degree sesquiquadrate is closer to the 120-degree trine aspect. We have known for a while now that the 60-degree sextile aspect is more grounded than is the 120-degree trine aspect.
This would mean that the conjunction aspect is the most grounding aspect and the opposition aspect is the most elevating. The Mystic Rectangle aspect pattern is found more often in the charts of mystics and it consists of two opposition aspects. What I have found regarding the 150-degree inconjunct or quincunx aspect is that it mixes optimism with an attraction to overcoming challenges. It definitely does not make one physical or grounded.

Here is the interpretation for Venus inconjunct the Black Moon Lilith for females:
You have an outgoing personality that naturally bridges the gap which separates people. You are socially aware. You never stop learning, exploring, and sharing. You probably enjoy expanding your awareness through reading. You could be different from other young women in being more interested in your career than you are in dating. You are attracted to challenges dealing with society. Your own personal life challenges can influence the societal issues to which you contribute. You could be attracted to singing, broadcasting, or other mass forms of communication. You could become involved in political campaigns. What would make you most happy is if you could benefit yourself and your family at the same time that you make life better for everyone.
